Horse Postal Service
The ancient technology of horse postal service (post riders) was brought to its best condition in human history. According to historic records, all major roads of the Great Steppe and surrounding lands had horse stations located at a day’s travel distance. Those stations were equipped with fresh and fast horses, so that a messenger could travel non-stop to deliver urgent messages from all parts of the territory. This system was vital to control and maintain huge territories with necessary efficiency. It was so good for its time that it inspired the famous US Pony Express that existed in the 19th century in the United States of America.
