Turkic Carriage Yurts
New Turkic "carriage" yurts have now replaced the living carts and wagons of the Saka period. These yurts had circular plan, dome-shaped roofs, and were installed on top of two-wheeled carts pulled by horses, camels, or oxen. They were basically just regular yurts secured on top of vehicular platforms. Such improved technology gave the nomads a more convenient mean for long journeys and seasonal migration without losing the comforts of yurt.
