Turkic Military Insignia and Heraldry
The military art of the Turkic Era continued the ancient tradition of using military insignia and heraldry of the Saka period, and made a new contribution to it. Order and systematic approach were necessary for the great Turkic military machine to function properly. That's why the Turks have improved the use of military insignia and heraldry technology. Some of the ways of utilizing flags, banners, insignia, and military symbols that are used to this day have been invented back then by the Turks. The famous Turkic “Wolf Banner” also belongs to that period.
