Felt-making
The art of felt-making was also strongly developed in the Kazakh Era. This ancient technology was vital to the Kazakh people until the very end of the nomadic lifestyle tradition. Felt is a pure product of nomadic animal husbandry. The unique properties of felt made it possible to use it for many purposes. Kazakhs made made many products from felt, such as clothes, hats, thick socks, horse sweat mats, yurt clothes, tekemet rugs and accessories, and etc.
