Clothes making
The traditional art of costume sewing has reached its peak. In the Kazakh era, the ancient Steppe nomadic costume complex was influenced by the clothing, types of fabrics, and sewing technologies of the neighboring settled nations. For millennia, on the territory of Kazakhstan the fabrics were either made by the nomads themselves, or imported from Central Asian manufacturing centers. By the 19th century, factory-made fabrics and threads from Russia, and sewing machines from Europe became available to wealthy Kazakhs as well.
