This is because the archaeologists were familiar with mining sites in the territory of Kazakhstan due to their studies of ancient metallurgy. Hence, the mining sites that were used by the tribes of Kazakhstan for thousands of years have now been transformed into large mining fields, equipped with modern technology. Today, mining and metallurgical production is one of the most important sectors of Kazakhstan's economy.
