Hard saddles with stirrups
Hard saddles and stirrups also appeared first in the Turkic Era. This technology is still used for riding horses today, with very little change. Compared to the previous Saka-style soft saddle without stirrups, the Turkic style saddle allowed the nomadic youth to learn riding a horse much quicker and more comfortably. Using this technology, the ancient Turks were able to build large cavalry forces more efficiently.
