The Turkic Age
The Period of Turkic Khaganates began in the Great Steppe from the 3rd century BCE. And by the 6th-7th centuries AD the Turkic tribes formed the largest First Turkic Khaganate (a.k.a. Gokturk Khaganate). Steel metallurgy, hard saddles and stirrups, large cities, the infrastructure of the Great Silk Road, and other technologies appeared at this time.
