Space Exploration
Space port Baikonur in Kazakhstan holds a very important place in the history of Space exploration. This is where Space travelling began for the first time in human history. The first artificial Earth satellite (Sputnik), the first spacecraft, the first animal astronaut, the first human cosmonaut, the first female astronaut and the first Moon mission flew from Baikonur. Today, Baikonur is still one of the largest spaceports of our planet. Kazakhstan is still involved in many programs run by the international Space cooperation.
