Gunpowder Weapons
In the days of the Kazakh Khanate, new gunpowder weapons came about. Personal weapons, such as pistols, shotguns, and rifles were single-shot, muzzle-loaded guns. Compared to bows, these range weapons had a slower rate of fire, but they could shoot farther and more accurately. Larger gunpowder weapons included cannons mounted on camels or wheeled platforms. Cannons fired large round cannonballs against fortifications, and shrapnel against the enemy's manpower.
