Rectors of Satbayev University
Rector of Satbayev University traditionally occupies a special place at the university, as a person who directs the team of thousands of scientists and students and implements the vision of an innovative future that is important for the whole country.
The establishment of University became possible thanks to the activities of an outstanding geologist, organizer of science and public figure Academician Kanysh Satbayev, who acted as a major organizer of science in Kazakhstan.
The first Rector of University was Ashir Dzhanaliyevich Burkitbayev, a graduate of Ural-Kazakhstan Industrial Academy, who created the first engineering and technical institute in history almost from scratch.
