Traditions and Modernity
University was founded in 1934 as the Kazakh Mining and Metallurgical Institute. During the XX century, he played an important role in forming and developing the geology, mining, metallurgy and science of Kazakhstan, made a great contribution to advancing the raw material base and industry of the republic.
Today Satbayev University continues its history, remaining an important center for scientific research and training of highly qualified specialists in engineering and technology sphere. Each of the pages of its history reveals to us an unyielding aspiration to the future and the main motto: "Science and education for the good of people."
It is this connection between tradition and modernity that allows us to constantly improve and reach new heights in scientific and innovative achievements.
